Cloud Forest or Yungas

It is a mountain forest that coming from Bolivia and Peru between the eastern slopes of the Andes and the Amazon Basin, enters in Argentina along the eastern side of the “Subandean” Range of the provinces of Jujuy, Salta, Catamarca and Tucumán, between 350 m. and 3100 m. above sea level. The weather is warm and humid, with rains mainly in spring and summer. It is a region rich in bird species, with many exclusivities. Among many hotspots we find Calilegua and El Rey National Parks, and the mountain road from Acheral to Tafí del Valle, for mentioning a few sites.
