Espinal

This Espinal ecoregion (that means “thorny”) is one of the most estensive regions of Argentina, occupying plains and low mountain ranges of central Argentina, between the Chaco and the Pampas, with some savannas, palm stands, marshes and low woods of the genus Prosopis. The Espinal is shared with Uruguay and is home of high species diversity such as the yellow and the red-crested cardinals.
