Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve

Just a ten-minute drive from Buenos Aires downtown there is a splendid urban protected area, the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve, with 350 hectares covered of marshes, grasslands, bushes and woods, and housing a surprising diversity of wildlife.
Over 220 species of birds have been recorded, among which we can mention Black-necked swans, Silver teals, Cocoi herons, Rufescent tiger-herons, Nanday parakeets, Red-crested and Yellow-billed cardinals, Masked gnatcatchers, Golden-breasted woodpeckers, and Black-and- rufous warbling-finche, just to mention a few of them.
Mammals such as Coipus, and reptiles such as Tegu lizards and Painted turtles complete the list of vertebrates and make the Costanera Sur Reserve a fascinating destination for a photo safari just a few minutes away from your hotel.
Itinerario sugerido
- Día 1: Arribo a El Calafate. Observación de aves en lagunas y estepa patagónica.
- Día 2: Excursión de día entero a los bosques del Parque Nacional Los Glaciares en torno al Glaciar Moreno.
- Día 3: Traslado a El Chaltén para observar aves de bosque y humedales
- Día 4: En vehículos especiales nos dirigiremos a la Meseta del Strobel, alojándonos en una estancia ganadera.
- Día 5: Búsqueda del Macá tobiano en las lagunas de la meseta del Strobel.
- Día 6: Avistajes en los grandes juncales en busca de la gallineta austral y otras especies de aves.
- Día 7: Por la tarde Regreso a El Calafate
- Día 8. Partida: Traslado al aeropuerto para tomar vuelo de partida
