Special Patagonia Valdes Península, Los Glaciares & Torres del Paine N. Parks

Patagonia is a region that has lots of special corners with a great variety of fauna, extensive and well-preserved natural areas and breathtaking landscapes, not only on the Atlantic coast but also on the steppes and along the southern Andes.

In this photographic safari we will visit the Valdes Peninsula and Punta Tombo, with its colonies of South American sea lions, Southern elephant seals, Magallanic penguins, several species of cormorants, terns and gulls, plus the terrestrial wildlife that inhabits the bushy steppes such as the Guanacos (wild relatives of the llamas), the Lesser rheas and Patagonian armadillos, without forgetting the Southern right whales and Commerson’s dolphins, reachable during boat trips.

Our next destination will be the spectacular Los Glaciares National Park, with its extensive ice fields, massive glaciers, granite peaks, snow-capped Andes, thick forests and varied fauna, such as the Austral parakeets, Andean condors, Patagonian woodpeckers, Chilean flamingos and many other species. Then we will go on to Chile to the Torres del Paine National Park, with its fantastic mountain peaks, pristine lakes and abundant wildlife. A trip no nature photographer should miss.
